Peer Support Organizes free workshops for the education and youth welfare sector
Peer Support is a preventive method in which young people support each other in order to promote a positive school and living environment.
More and more (vulnerable) young people are left out. However, for a child, wellbeing is the foundation to work on the future in a confident way. Often, young people come to their peers in age or in lifestyle with their questions and problems.
Peer Support is a preventive method in which young people support each other to promote a positive school and living environment. Peer supporters receive a training in which their competences are strengthened in order to help others. This offers a lot of advantages, both for young people and for educators (youth workers, teachers, learning/student coaches) and organizations (youth work, school). However, customization, commitment and structural embedding are very important in this aspect.
Your support
Your support is used to make it possible to organize free workshops for Flemish teachers and people from youth work and youth welfare. In this way, they can, in turn, better train young people to become peer supporters. Thanks to your donation we can buy the materials required to organize these training sessions.
